
Ashtanga Flow
A rigorous vinyasa flow class, based on Ashtanga Primary Series. The same sequence of poses will be practiced every week, with modifications to make the advanced series accessible to vinyasa practitioners. Working in this way, you start at your abilities and work consistently on the traditional and predictable sequence – quite quickly it becomes a movement meditation driven by breath count, and with practice you add and refine asana (remove modifications) as you gain strength, flexibility, and confidence. Disclaimer: sun salutation/vinyasa movements are a trademark of the series and cannot be avoided…as such, this style is not for everyone, especially if injuries or limitations that make getting up and down difficult.
